Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
HOFer Bernie Parent signed his Philadelphia Flyers game-used stick and gave it to our consignor after a game against Buffalo during the 1976-77 season. The two crossed paths in the tunnel and greeted with a “great game” by our consignor, Parent promptly handed him this Sher-Wood gamer! “Parent B. 1” is stamped on the shaft. Bernie’s original tape remains on the blade and knob, which has a loose outer strand that has unraveled a bit. Bernie signed in bold blue marker with some vintage tape added back in the day to the heel of the blade which differs from the Parent tape jobs we usually see. There is substantial wear with cracks on the bottom of the heel, chips at the toe, and red goalpost paint transfer on the paddle.
