This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Roberto Luongo’s 1997-98 Islanders pre-rookie game-worn preseason jersey is most likely the first Islanders and NHL gamer worn by the two-time Olympic gold medalist. Chosen fourth overall by the Isles in the 1997 Draft, Luongo wore this jersey during training camp and the 1997-98 pre-season before he was returned to QMJHL Val d’Or for the rest of the season. Islanders equipment manager Joe McMahon has signed inside the jersey behind the team crest. CCM Goalie Style and size 60 flag tags sit in the back of the neck and game wear shows in black marks on the front and marks on the sleeves. Comes with an LOA from Spivack & Kraut and a copy of the letter from the Islanders to Spivack & Kraut for the purchase of sets of jerseys from 1996-97 and 1997-98.
