Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

From the Soviet Wings of the Russian Championship League is this game worn jersey donned by forward Igor Esmantovich during the 1990-91 campaign when his country was undergoing a major glasnost and perestroika movement. With no size or manufacturer tags in the collar, and with the logo, stripes, and lettering all sublimated, this game-worn Russian jersey shows a plethora of game use scattered about, including marks across the front and on the sleeves, along with plenty of holes repaired on both sleeves by simply covering the damaged areas inside with large pieces of material and roughly stitched around the holes. Definitely an easy fix for so many holes needing attention, and definitely worn by a fellow who plied his trade along the boards. A very cool Russian gamer, and getting more vintage as the years fly by.
