Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Replacing the previous and popular Canada Cup-style tournament was the 1996 World Cup of Hockey that featured teams from Canada, the USA, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Germany, with games played in various venues in North America and Europe. Offered is an unused "Canadien" stick jam-packed with signatures from the Canadian squad numbering approximately 26 in all, signed with black marker and including the likes of Wayne Gretzky, who has signed a beauty on the blade, along with Steve Yzerman, Mark Messier, Eric Lindros, Paul Coffey, Bill Ranford, Keith Primeau, Theoren Fleury etc. The signatures are almost all clear and bold, although as is the case with autographs in the modern era, many are difficult to decipher. But if you have the inclination, we're willing to bet you can figure most out.
