Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Breathtaking was the 1987 Canada Cup when the 3-game Finals showdown between Canada and Russia all ended with 6-5 scores, and game 3 remembered forever after as Gretzky and Lemieux rushing up the ice and Mario finishing off number 99's pass to give Canada the tournament win. We have what is most likely an extra Team Canada jersey produced for but not used at the '87 tourney, tagged in the collar as a "Maska Air-Knit" and with a faint size "54" handwritten on, along with an embroidered "CCM" patch on the hem. This jersey, with the rubberized Team Canada logo heat-pressed on but with no name or number, remains in excellent condition with a small scattering of marks on the logo. Simply a great series-related memento from a classic Canada-Russia showdown.
