Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Stirring is the thought of the late Howie Morenz, who had died only months before 1937-38 World Wide Gum cards were issued, and his son, Howie Morenz Jr., appearing in the same card set. The young Morenz would go on to play, in the late-1940s, for the Montreal Royals and Valleyfield Braves senior teams and the USHL’s Dallas Texans. This appealing NM 7 example of card #100 is a Pop-4 with just one NM-MT 8 edging it/them on the PSA Population Report, with 16 total Morenz Jr. cards showing up on it.
