Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A key card in any card set from the 1930s is that of the legendary King Clancy, with this King trailing only those of Howie Morenz and Eddie Shore in terms of importance/value in World Wide Gum’s big 135-card issue, also, like its 1933-34 predecessors, dubbed “Ice Kings” on the wrappers back in the day. PSA Population Report figures indicate that this example of card #29 is a Pop-1 EX-MT 6, with just two of 13 others to have been examined by the company over the years having been graded higher; a NM-MT 8 and a NM 7. A marvelous opportunity is this Ice Kings’ “King”!
