Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
It’s vintage Toronto Maple Leafs time, beginning with three unused 1955-57 Maple Leafs Dixon pencils featuring Barry and Brian Cullen and Earl Balfour, with only slight darkening of the unused erasers and ever-so-slight darkening of the white wood from age. All in all, in mostly like-new condition. We also have a rare H.M. Cowan tile, with this Ron Stewart Toronto Maple Leafs ceramic tile dating from 1962-63 and measuring 6" x 6", remaining in wonderful condition with vibrant colours and showing just a touch of scuffing. The name H. M. Cowan, printed on the front of the tile to the right of the screened likeness of Stewart, is likely the artist. This attractive Ron Stewart tile has a cork backing with "Screenarts Products Ltd., Made in Canada" stamped on it at the top and it comes with its original box that shows some staining.
