Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Forever in demand and oh-so-coveted are signet-style rings like this one which features Maple Leafs fan favorite Joe Klukay. It was in 1949 that the makers of Bee Hive corn syrup introduced these premiums, available for a couple of years through a mail-in offer. Made to fit any finger, they pictured various NHL stars under a clear Lucite dome. This gilt-lacquered treasure includes a raised image of the Stanley Cup on one side, with "NHL", crossed hockey sticks and a puck on the other. This beauty is wonderfully preserved and shows only light wear. A fantastic opportunity for serious Bee Hive collectors.
