Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
American-born HOFer Frank “Moose” Goheen has nicely signed a plain 3” x 5” index card using blue ballpoint pen, with the signature clear and clean on the spotless card. Moose, elected to the HOF in 1952, was just the second American player behind Hobey Baker to achieve the honor. He was a pioneer of big-time hockey in his home state of Minnesota and his reluctance to leave the state caused him to turn down offers from both Boston and Toronto of the NHL. Moose was inducted into the Minnesota HOF in 1958 and the United States HOF in 1973, and would pass away in 1979. Along with the signed card from this legend is a recently-printed 8 ½” x 10 ½” photo in his St. Paul uniform, along with a 2 ½” x 3 ½” HHOF card, both in excellent condition. Comes with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
