Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
It took 7 games in the spring of ’94 to decide a winner, and when the clock finally wound down, it was the New York Rangers, led by captain Mark Messier, who would hoist the first Cup on Broadway in 54 years. We’ve got two Rangers’ magazine/programs from the 4 games held at MSG that year, both identical with 96 complete and unmarked pages, and the two teams’ lineups featured on page 57. Measuring 8” x 11’, these 2 New York programs are in terrific condition, although one shows some creasing on the front and back covers. Nice magazines, chock full of articles, from a cool time for the Rangers faithful, with these programs from games 1, 2, 5, and 7 in New York, with Vancouver winning games 1 and 5 by scores of 3-2 and 6-3, while New York took games 2 and 7 by scores of 3-1 and 3-2.
