Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Wonderful and fascinating little record-type book measuring 3 ½” x 6 ¼” titled “The Hockey Hour” which details the goings-on of the 1929-30 season, with a bilingual look at various players and movers and shakers of the Habs, Leafs and others, with stories and record listings and schedule and all that one might expect from an NHL guide book, only this is quite unlike any modern day example one might explore. The cloth-bound hardcover includes 138 pages, with the final 2 pages, 139 and 140 missing. But no matter, everything you ever wanted to know about the ’29-’30 season, particularly from a Montreal angle, is here for a ton of reading pleasure. The book has been preserved in good condition with some wear to the covers in particular, but aside from the 2 missing pages is intact and tear and crease-free. A great old treasure from days gone by.
