Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Worn but intact Ottawa Senators program from November 20th, 1928 at the old Auditorium when the Toronto Maple Leafs paid a visit and were handed a 4-1 whipping by the hometown Sens. The program, measuring 7" x 10", lists the Sens home games which ran from November 15th to March 16th (22 games), and includes the lineups for both teams showing the likes of Clancy, Boucher, Nighbor and Finnegan for Ottawa and Chabot, Day, Bailey and the boys for the Leafs. Yes, the 12-pager is battered with rough and worn pages, creasing, and has been re-stapled, but remains a fun look into hockey in Canada's capital from days gone by, with a ton of advertisements from businesses that oldtimers from Ottawa would remember with fondness.
