Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Ottawa hockey fans gathered at the Aud on the night of January 27, 1927 to watch their beloved Senators face the visiting Detroit Cougars, and most left happy after watching Clancy, Boucher, Denneny, Finnigan and the gang win 3-1 over the Motown squad led by Duke Keats, Art Duncan, Frank Foyston and company. We have a program from that winter night almost 90 years ago, a fully-intact 12-pager measuring 5 ½” x 8 ½” that gives the lineups of both teams along with the Sens home schedule and a plethora of ads from Ottawa sponsors. A faint fold runs down the middle, slight stains line the bottom cover, and the pages have yellowed, but all in all, a gem in nice shape. The Sens would become Cup champs later that spring.
