Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The senior Montreal Royals, playing in the powerful QSHL, boasted the likes of former and future Habs Doug Harvey, Floyd Curry, Tod Campeau, Gerry Plamondon, goaltender Gerry McNeil and others when they captured both the Quebec Senior Hockey League championships and the Allan Cup in 1947, and from that incredibly successful season is this cool Birks sterling medal measuring 1” x 1 ¼" with one side displaying the Quebec Amateur Hockey Association (QAHA) red, gold, and blue logo, while the reverse reads as “Sr. Prov. Champ. 1946-47 and Allan Cup Winners”. Preserved in wonderful condition with only some faint surface scratching and aging, it’s a delightful memento from the great Royals team.
