Sidney Crosby’s 2006-07 Penguins game-worn jersey is photo-matched to his sophomore campaign when he led the NHL with 120 points, claiming the Art Ross, Hart and Lester Pearson trophies in the process. The matches are to a photo of Sid the Kid from the Penguins’ game against the Maple Leafs on February 10, 2007, including the loose thread in the R of Crosby, a small thread on the top right area of the R, and a small thread in the middle of the top of the B. Also, on the back, to a loose thread on the top left corner of the 7, a loose thread on the interior angle of the 7 and black sewing thread going into the white section nearby, as well as black sewing thread going into the gold section on the lower left side of the 7, and black sewing thread going into gold section on the top left section of the 8. Sid’s number 87 is handwritten in black marker on the size 54 flag tag in the back of the neck. Pens equipment manager Dana Heinze has signed in black marker on the fight strap and his facsimile autograph appears on the Penguins Cutting Edge Sports 2006-07 Set #2 team patch sewn inside the rear tail. Game wear includes black marks on the back of both sleeves and pilling on the gold-colored material on the tails, particularly on the left front. This treasure from the outset of Crosby’s amazing career comes with a Penguins LOA.
