Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
On February 27, 1996, the St. Louis Blues parted company with 3 players and 2 draft picks for the incomparable Wayne Gretzky, with the Great One playing the final 18 games of the season in the Missouri city before moving on to the New York Rangers. We have a Blues souvenir jersey, tagged in the collar as a "CCM/NHL" with a size "M" flap below, featuring the sewn-on Gretzky nameplate, his number "99" on the back and sleeves, and the captain's "C" on the left breast, but with no inside fight strap. Best of all, Gretzky has signed his name on the back #9 in black marker which is less than dark but remains perfectly legible. Nice signed jersey from the one and only Gretzky.
