Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The Oilers 10th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right shoulder of forward Kevin McClelland’s 1988-89 Edmonton Oilers game-worn jersey. This bold blue mesh gamer has a Nike size XL flag tag in the back of the neck, which has “88/89” handwritten on it in marker. "McClelland" runs across the blue mesh nameplate above his number "24" on the back and the left sleeve has a customized cuff.. The Nike logo screened on the tail has been covered with a patch of blue mesh, like most shirts from this set, as they were recycled for the following pre-season while the team was under contract with CCM. Game wear includes three team repairs on the sleeves and black marks on the front tail, featuring a diagonal slash through the orange and bottom white stripes. Comes with an Oilers letter and a MeiGray Certificate of Registration. There are two team repairs on the left sleeve and one on the right sleeve. There is pilling on the rear tail around the fight strap and loose threads hang down below both sleeves.
