Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

A couple of movie-worn jerseys beginning with a Detroit Red Wings 1950s-style wool creation made for “The Rocket: The Legend of Rocket Richard” that features the team’s distinctive Winged Wheel logo crest sewn on the front. Worn during the filming of the 2005 biopic feature starring Roy Dupuis as Montreal Canadiens legend Maurice Richard, this magnificent Red Wings retro sweater displays intricate cable stitching on the Red Wings crest (which has a touch of red bleeding on the white areas), while number “10” in white felt is sewn-on the back of this silver screen special with a “Made in U.S.A.” laundry instruction fly tag sewn into the inside right seam. Also offered is a 1950s/1960s-style Red Wings practice jersey from the 2012 Gordie Howe movie "Mr. Hockey", with the beige beauty having a tag sewn on the inside seam reading as "Sports Studio 50" and with the reverse handwritten with what appears to be "SR". Truly nice movie practice jersey with the sewn-on vintage Red Wings crest and with only some general pilling to mention. Also included is a 2" x 12" display plaque that reads as "The Rocket: The Legend of Rocket Richard 2005 Movie Worn Jersey". Both jerseys come with COAs.
