Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

A grand old 40-page Rangers program from January 26, 1966 when the Detroit Red Wings came to town (New York won 4-3), and although the fully-intact program has a few pen markings on the lineup page and spots of water damage throughout the pages, the front cover is signed by 17 Rangers players from that year, making it a very cool item indeed. Signing in either red or blue ballpoint pen, with all but one of the signatures clear and legible, are HOFers Boom Boom Geoffrion (ind. 1972, dec. 2006), Ed Giacomin (ind. 1987), and Jean Ratelle (ind. 1985), plus Vic Hadfield, Arnie Brown, Rod Seiling, Bill Hicke (dec. 2005), Earl Ingarfield, Doug Robinson, Bob Nevin, Don Marshall, Cesare Maniago, Al McNeil, Orland Kurtenbach, and Wayne and Larry Hillman. To note, Kurtenback, Geoffrion, and McNeil joined the Rangers the following season, 1966-67, while the Hillman brothers have signed as “Wayne and Larry Hillman”, which we determine as Larry’s signature. One signature is difficult to read, with it possibly being Ted Taylor.
