Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The unparalleled career of Bobby Orr began officially on the evening of October 19, 1966, as the Boston Bruins opened the 1966-67 season at home vs. Gordie Howe and the Detroit Red Wings. Young Orr would pick up his first NHL point, an assist, in a 6-2 Bruins win. This 40-page 8 ½” x 11” fully-intact program from that historic evening contains a full page article on the prized rookie and is in nice condition with a faint crease down the middle and a dark stain on parts of the lineup page. Also offered is a 56-page Bruins media guide from Orr’s first season 1966-67, in excellent condition with just a touch of wear showing on the cover.
Also included is a fax of the official NHL game report that shows Orr’s first point.
