Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
May we help you find your seat at the old Maple Leaf Gardens? This snappy pair of items were worn by an usher at the venerable arena, the longtime home of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1932 to 1999. Memories and Dreams were indeed realized there and if you had a ticket to see a hockey game, sporting event, concert or show, there was an usher dressed with this type of jacket, which we measure out to roughly a size 44 or so, and smart white and blue cap ready to show you the way. “101” tagging is sewn on the lining just below the inside rear collar of the jacket, which has a Maple Leaf Gardens patch sewn on the left breast below a sewn-on “Usher” patch.
The cap, which comes with a display case, has “587” embroidered in blue thread on the front of the white portion on the forehead. “The Muir Cap & Regalia Ltd.” tagging sits under plastic on the inner lining with sizes 7 3/8 (59) indicated below that.
