Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Donald Dufresne’s career with the Montreal Canadiens spanned the team’s appearance in two Stanley Cup finals within five seasons in the late-1980s and early-1990s, and the d-man wore this white Canadiens jersey early in his stay with the Habs, in either 1989-90 or 1990-91, a couple of years before he would culminate his time in Montreal with a ’93 Cup win. The jersey, with its original Maska tag a bit washed out on the back of the neck, shows good game use with a couple of team repairs on the left sleeve along with red paint transfer, as well as a small unrepaired hole above the team crest. Touches of puckering are evident on the team crest and back numbers. A classic Canadiens jersey from a hardworking player, and comes with an LOA signed by team executive Rejean Houle.
