Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft of seven-time Stanley Cup champion Jean-Guy Talbot’s mid-1950s Montreal Canadiens game-used stick testifies to its active duty at the height of the Habs’ dynasty. One of a dozen Canadiens who were members of the record run of five straight Cups from 1956-60, Talbot has his original tape jobs on the knob and blade. “Custom Made for Talbot 17” is stamped on the shaft along with Raymond Hardware Ltd. Sporting Goods on one side and CCM Pattern Made Professional on both sides. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
The heel has some nice game wear while the rest of the bottom edge of the tape job on the blade is nice and smooth. The first strand of tape on the toe of the blade hangs loose.
