Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Elmer Lach copped his second scoring championship in 1947-48 and for the second time in his career was named to the NHL’s First All-Star Team along with brother in arms Maurice Richard and left winger Ted Lindsay. A gold All-Star charm which Elmer received for his efforts is stamped “10K”, features a diamond on the front, two similar star- encircled diamonds on the side, and is engraved on the back “Elmer Lach – 1944-45 – 1947-48.” Made into a ring by Lach a long time ago with “14K” appearing on the inside of the band, the memento shows moderate wear but has been preserved in excellent condition. Lach’s 30 goals and 61 points in 60 games were one better than former teammate Buddy O’Connor of the Rangers and won him the newly created Art Ross Trophy. Please take note that this item might be subject to a silent reserve. Size 10 ring treasure will be accompanied by a LOA signed by Montreal Canadiens legend Elmer Lach.
