Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
All-Star right winger Bobby Schmautz’s 1977-78 Bruins game-worn jersey is from the height of Boston’s late-1970s resurgence as one of the NHL’s elite teams. Schmautzie potted 27 goals in 54 regular season games and put home seven more in 15 playoff games as the Bruins fell to Montreal in the Stanley Cup finals for a second year in a row. White mesh gamer with a yellow knit bottom stripe around the tails has a size 48 tag in the back of the neck that is frayed on the left side. Stall & Dean tag is missing but the laundry instruction flag tag remains inside the collar and the double garter-style fight straps are intact. There is a team repair on the upper black stripe on the left front tail. Please note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve. Solid game wear with pilling on the knit hem, and unrepaired holes on the front tail, upper left arm at the sleeve seam, and on the sleeves.
