This awesome piece of Boston Bruins history, Wayne Cashman's photo-matched 1970 Stanley Cup finals game-worn jersey, is the black #12 sweater Cash was wearing when Bobby Orr scored "The Goal" that clinched the Hub's first Cup win in 29 years! Originally from the Wayne Cashman collection, this spectacular tie-neck classic has distinctive red marks on the left front tail that show in an action photo of Cashman, as do the misaligned black and white bands at the left seam on the jersey's tail. The picture was taken late in the 1969-70 regular season as evidenced by the presence of Detroit's Dale Rolfe, who the Red Wings acquired from L.A. on February 20, 1970. Boston hosted Detroit on March 15, and again on March 28. Cash is wearing the same style jersey, both with correct number placement and a long team repair on the lower right hem that is faintly visible, in two additional 1970 playoff photos, one against the Rangers, the other against the Black Hawks. The Wilson tag in the neck's stitching has let go on top and on the left side and the fight strap is cut off. Wayne's hard work in the corners is written all over this beauty which is covered with team repairs, including the 2-inch beauty on the left front tail and the square fix in the white and black band above it that appear in the photo match. Another square sewing repair sits on the right front tail, a pair on the right shoulder, two more on the left, a tangle of sewing fixes on the left elbow, a smaller one on the left back tail and two below the B-Hub crest on the front. The top of the elbow gussets on both sleeves were repaired/reinforced. More Cashman toil shows in stains on the left shoulder, possibly dried blood, near the collar. Wicked good Bruins 1970 Stanley Cup finals gamer worn by one of Boston's most popular players ever! Please note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve.
