Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Superstar Bobby Hull wasn't allowed to play for his country in the iconic 1972 Summit Series because of his decision to join the rival WHA, but all was forgiven during the first Canada Cup held in 1976, and the Golden Jet proceeded to notch 5 goals in 7 games in the tourney that featured a Canadian squad many say was the best ever assembled. We have one of Hull's game-used sticks that from that historic '76 event, a CCM that features Hull's original tape on the blade and on the shaved knob, and along with a nice scattering of marks lining the heel and shaft is a stamped-on "Hull" on the upper shaft, along with "Canada Cup 76" stamped on 3 sides. Hull would tally 8 points in all, 1 behind Orr and Potvin on the leader board, as Canada defeated Czechoslovakia in the final. Comes with an LOA signed by Brett Hull.
