Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
What a way to celebrate New Year’s Eve! On the night of December 31, 1999, with the Dallas Stars at home to face the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, future HOFer Brett Hull netted his milestone 600th goal to tie the game and would later add the winner, his 601st, as his Stars beat the Ducks 5-4. Classic Auctions is honored to present, from the collection of Brett Hull, Brett’s actual 600th goal puck, and included is a photo of a happy Brett post-game, holding up this very puck which has trainer’s tape placed on and handwritten in black marker as “Brett Hull 600 12-31-99”. The puck, with the Dallas Stars logo covered by the tape, has “Official Game Puck NHL 2000 Gary Bettman” printed on the back and shows some scuffing and a few light edge nicks. Also included is a 13” x 19” (with borders) photo of Brett winding up, with Brett signing in large, clear, and bold blue marker as “Brett Hull #600”. Hull is one of only 18 players to score 600+ goals in the NHL, #3 all-time with 741, behind only Gretzky and Howe. A truly historic puck that comes with an LOA signed by Brett.
