HOFer Brett Hull honed his craft in the WCHA with the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs for 2 seasons, 1984-85 and ’85-86, and we have 6 Hull/Bulldogs treasures from Brett’s collection that include Brett's cool burgundy Duluth team jacket with chenille crest; a 25” x 29 ¾” framed collage in honor of his February 3, 2006 jersey retirement at U of M; a glass award (with stand), etched on as “Top 50 Players in 50 Years, Brett Hull Forward, Minnesota-Duluth 1984-86"; a nicely famed and matted 15 ¾” x 19 ¾” picture of Hull/All-DECC Team (DECC was the rink the Bulldogs played in); a framed and matted 14 ¾” x 18 ¾” newspaper story from 1986 about Brett’s Duluth exploits; and a limited edition 29/100 print titled “Bulldog Hockey Night”, signed by Brett and 6 others. This lot comes with an LOA signed by Brett Hull. The snap button jacket remains in nice condition, showing an amount of pilling spread throughout, and although no size or manufacturer's patch in on it, it measures 24" from front collar to hem and 22" across the underarms. The limited-edition print has been signed in pencil by artist Terrence Fogarty, joining players who signed above their printed names and years including Hull, Jim Johnson, Norm McIver, Tom Kurvers, Bill Watson, and Chris Marinucci. A beautiful print in splendid condition. The frame and matte housing the newspaper has just a couple of slight nicks, while the newspaper shows some marks and a few possible but small water stains. Brett’s “All-DECC Team” framed picture shows a few marks on the matte and a small touch of scratching on the frame but otherwise is in terrific shape. The huge jersey retirement display is in gorgeous condition and includes a mounted plaque set below the pics. And the glass “Top 50 Players” award and metal stand remain in unflawed condition.
