What a trio of legendary animated superstars that includes an original three-panel cartoon in pencil of one of the army's most endearing soldiers, Beetle Bailey, drawn on 8" x 10 3/4" and signed by Beetle's artist Mort Walker; a Walter Lantz production drawing on animation paper and measuring 10 1/2" x 12 1/2" of Woody Woodpecker, signed by Walter Lantz with a "Walter Lantz Original Production Animation Art" seal in the lower left corner and an added industry code on the bottom left corner; and a Tony the Tiger hand-painted production cel from 1950 with the loveable Tony standing 7" high. Definitely a "three stars selection". Mort Walker created Beetle Bailey and the going-ons of cartoon army life, which Walker had been part of during the Second World War. The legendary Walter Lanz (1899-1994) created the iconic Woody Woodpecker, a household name throughout North America, after a real-life woodpecker kept interrupting his honeymoon in 1940. And Tony the Tiger has roared “They’re Great!” about Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes since 1951.
