Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Originally obtained from the Noel Picard collection is this terrific St. Louis Blues team sports jacket belonging to Picard in the late-1960s early-1970s. Tagged in the collar as a size “46 long”, this cool suede affair with the wide lapels features an embroidered Blues crest on the breast, while sewn on the inside pocket is “Styled by Scully in Los Angeles”. It remains in nice condition with just a few marks scattered about, has wear along the collar and onto the right shoulder, and at the side of the inside pocket is a small tear. Picard, who was part of the Cup-winning Montreal Canadiens in 1965, is, along with being a solid defenceman, widely known as the Blues player who helped send Bobby Orr through the air in the iconic Orr/Cup winning 1970 photo.
