Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
From the supremely talented Marcel Dionne (HOF-inducted 1992) comes this lot of 8+ pieces from the time Little Beaver laced ‘em up with the Los Angeles Kings – 1975 to 1987, the team he spent a great deal of his career with - 12 seasons, after coming over from the Detroit Red Wings. We have two of Dionne’s Kings team jackets – a purple nylon affair with embroidered Kings logo on the breast and also across the front, tagged in the collar as a size “S” and preserved in outstanding condition, and another purple nylon Kings jacket with lining, with an “NHL/Shain of Canada” tag in the collar but with no size tag, and with an embroidered Kings crest sewn on the breast. This jacket also remains in great condition, with just a few marks sprinkled about. Moving along, there a couple of Kings travelling bags approximately 14” long, with one a purple canvas bag with “Los Angeles Kings” screened on, and a gold vinyl bag of the same size, also with “Los Angeles Kings” screened on. Both bags show slight wear and remain in great shape. We also have a beige and yellow sun cap with the Kings logo and signed in pen (slightly pale) by several including Dionne, Bob Nevin, actor Larry Mann, and four difficult to read signatures. There’s also a great 16” x 20” illustration of Dionne from well-known California artist Leonore Rae Smith, set with a matte, plus a framed 1983-84 Kings team picture measuring approximately 12” x 16”, in an 18 ½” x 22” wood frame. Rounding things out is a Kings metal license plate frame and two mini-Kings toques.
