Very cool St. Louis Cardinals spring training, pregame batting practice jersey worn by infielder Tom Lawless in 1987, a season that would be capped off by Lawless hitting a dramatic game-winning home run in the World Series that fall. This nice gamer, with the double tackle twill Cards logo on the breast and the “Lawless” nameplate and number “12” on the back, remains in great shape with puckering evidence showing that it’s been washed, while on the hem is a “Set 1-87” patch along with 2 “Sand-Knit” tags – one reading as “Designed and tailored for the St. Louis Cardinals National League” and the other showing the jersey to be a size “42”. Definitely a nice pre-season/batting practice jersey worn by Lawless who suited up with the Reds, Expos, Cards and Jays during his career that ran from 1982 to 1990.
