Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

As delightful as can be is this huge and scarce cardboard Coca-Cola display from the 1940s that features an illustration of a lovely young woman enjoying a Coke with a ballplayer and his manager while on the reverse is a couple skiing, to be switched in retail stores according to the time of year. With fresh and strong colors and smiling faces, this is a great example of a vintage and not-often-seen Canadian Coca-Cola sign. Condition-wise sees some staining on the borders and some damage to parts of the edges, with the baseball side image in sensational, almost flawless shape while the skiing side image has a series of pen markings and minor damage that barely detracts from the overall beauty. This French-language Coke display reads in small print on the bottom border of the baseball side as "Coca-Cola Ltee" and "Ce modele doit etre mis en etalage durant au printemps et en ete" (display in spring and summer), and "Imprime au Canada" while the reverse ski scene mentions the same for fall and winter.
