Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Three awards from hulking d-man Bob Dailey's time with the Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers, including 1979, when Dailey was awarded the Barry Ashbee Trophy for "Most Outstanding Flyers Defenceman", with a nice metal skate and puck mounted on marble and placed on a 4" wood base with plaque, with the overall height reaching 10". We also have a Flyers plaque measuring 12" x 15" commemorating Dailey's 300th NHL point in 1980, with a mounted puck, a photo of Dailey, and a plaque with the scoring details. And from 1974-75, Dailey's 2nd season in the NHL (with Vancouver), we have a trophy measuring 17 1/2" with a mounted Canucks puck, titled "Premier's Trophy Most Valuable Defenceman". All three awards have been nicely preserved, with the Barry Ashbee trophy showing only tiny specks of paint flaking on the puck. The 300th NHL point plaque has a few light scratches on the nameplate and a touch of wear on the edges, while the large 17 ½” Canucks trophy shows some lightb scratching on the nameplate and the mounted trophy is loose on the wooden base.
