Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Talented, terrific, and toothless Bobby Clarke wielded this wooden Sher-Wood in the early-1980s as he was beginning to wind down his sensational HOF career (inducted 1987) which saw him lead his Broad Street Bullies to two consecutive Stanley Cups in '74 and '75 and also be a key member of the 1972 Canada-Russia Summit Series. Small remnants of tape remain from the now bare blade, which has some wear and chipping on the bottom, and Clarke's original white tape is still on the knob. Marks and wear on the stick lettering are noticeable on the shaft which has "Clarke B. 18" stamped just below the knob. A fine old twig from the great Bobby Clarke.
