This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
A splendid Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn Set 3 jersey for the offering, donned by Nils Ekman during the 2006-2007 playoffs when the Swedish-born forward suited up for one game during that post-season. Tagged in the collar as a size “54”, this playoff gamer shows light wear, while the inside fight strap is signed with black marker by Pens equipment manager Dana Heinze. On the inside hem is a “Pittsburgh Penguins 2006-2007 Set 3 Playoff Jersey” patch, and jersey comes with a Penguins LOA signed by Heinze and another member of the Pens staff. Ekman played 264 regular season games in the NHL along with 28 playoff games, with teams that included Tampa Bay, San Jose, and Pittsburgh. He would eventually be forced to retire from hockey due to health issues.
