It was deep in the heart of Texas for defensive star Guy Carbonneau where he would lace 'em up for 5 campaigns with the Dallas Stars after spending his first 12 years in Montreal and a single season in St. Louis, always as one of the finest two-way players in the game. We have Carbo's game-worn Stars jersey from his first season in Dallas, the '95-96 campaign, tagged in the collar as a Maska "Air-Knit" (with a handwritten "5-6-2" on the back of the tag), and a size "54 flap alongside. And being a defensive specialist means lots of great game-wear, with marks lining the front and both sleeves, along with a scattering of board burns on the sleeves as well. Truly an important gamer from a fellow who tallied 1318 regular season games, won the Selke Trophy three times, the Stanley Cup three times, and who joined the coaching ranks with the Habs and became part of the front office in Dallas after his playing days were over.
