Butch Goring was behind the bench for the Boston Bruins for two seasons (1985-86, 1986-87), and nicely filling up Butch’s Bruins coach’s equipment bag (which measures approximately 26” x 17” x 15”) is a plethora of Butch’s game-used hockey equipment from his Islanders/Bruins playing days, and includes 2 pairs of game-used Bauer Supreme skates, 2 pairs of shin pads, a pair and a half of elbow pads, a jockstrap and shoulder pads, and also includes an Oldtimers Jofa helmet. Butch wore this equipment during his playing days with the Islanders (1979-1985), where he was part of four straight Stanley Cups, and the Bruins in 1984-85. Comes with an LOA from Mr. Goring. One pair of Bauer Supremes skates is labelled on the bottom as “Syosset Sport Center, Long Island”, and both pairs show a ton of game wear with nicks and scuffing throughout. We also have well-used shoulder pads, handwritten on as “Butch 91”, intact with all straps and laces, but like we say – well used. We also have two different types of Jofa shin pads worn by Butch and in good condition, plus a pair of well-used Cooper elbow pads with “Butch” handwritten on them, along with a single Cooper elbow pad. Rounding things out is a red Jofa oldtimers helmet worn by Butch, and a worn jockstrap.
