Highly skilled Denis Savard preferred “Canadien” sticks throughout much his HOF career which saw him inducted in 2000, with this gamer showing a stamped “1189 1” near the bottom of the shaft, dating it to having been handled by the slickster in the late-1980s in Chicago. Savard also used this type of stick while with the Habs from 1990 to ’93. This Savard “Canadien” has his original black tape on the blade and red on the knob, with “Savard” stamped on the upper shaft below a handwritten “18”, and shows lighter marks, although there's a small scattering throughout. There weren’t many who could handle the puck like Denis Savard and it’s no wonder he ended up in the HOF after collecting a whopping 1338 points in 1196 regular season games.
