Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Defensive specialist extraordinaire Doug Jarvis, who collected four Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens before being traded to the Washington Capitals where he continued to shine, wore this Caps jersey during his first season in Washington, the 1982-83 campaign, where, as usual, he never missed a game. In fact, Jarvis set a record for most consecutive games played with 964, just an amazing feat. Jarvis' Caps gamer, tagged in the collar as a "Maska", is filled with battle scars including more than a dozen team repairs, substantial stick marks, board paint transfer, inside pilling, and puckering most noticeable on the back numbers. Jarvis has signed his name in black marker on the hem, and also to mention is the nameplate which has been restored and isn't the original one. Comes with an LOA. It’s always great when game-worn jerseys can be photo-matched and we’re happy to say that this Jarvis gamer is photo-matched to the black mark on the lower leg of the “P” on the crest, the black mark at the right of the “T”, land the long black mark starting at the right of the lower part of the “T”.
