John French's San Diego Mariners game worn-jersey is a creamy white dureen WHA beauty that dates from 1975-77 and displays plenty of vintage team repairs! A three-time 20-goal scorer in the rebel league, French totaled 39 goals and 99 points in 120 games with the Mariners. Wilson size 46 tagging sits in the back of the tie-neck and the Mariners' "Skating Skipper" patch is sewn on the right shoulder. There is evidence of a former nameplate, with about two dozen team repairs visible on the inside of the jersey. The current nameplate has heat-pressed blue vinyl letters. We count another 11 vintage sewing fixes on the rest of this fantastic WHA game-worn jersey. Comes with an LOA. There is a 7-inch long sewing repair on the left sleeve that runs down from between the blue and orange double twill number 11. There is another sewing fix to the right of those numbers, two more repairs on the back, another pair on the right sleeve, and five on the front tail.
