Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Two similar but not exactly the same vintage goalie masks produced by legendary HOFer Jacques Plante's company Fibrosport in Magog, Quebec. Both of these cool, vintage masks are grey with scratching and signs of being well-used, with one model having a sticker on the outer top reading as "Fibrosport, Jacques Plante, Magog, Quebec, Canada", and with most but not all of the inner foam padding intact. A handwritten "7" is on the back area. This mask has 50 air holes in it and the straps are intact. The other slightly longer example is missing most of its inner foam padding, the straps are only partially intact, and has a total of 36 air holes. A small faded out manufacturing label is on the inside. Rare and vintage masks for the offering and we must say, goalies were a hearty bunch back then.
