Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Daren Puppa manned the nets for the Tampa Bay Lightning from 1993 to 1999, his final stop in the bigs after previous stints in Toronto and Buffalo, and it was during the 1997-98 campaign when the big fellow donned this Lightning gamer. Tagged in the collar as a CCM "Goalie Style" but with no size flap, this gamer shows marks on the front, back, and on both sleeves, as well as having an unrepaired hole on the front hem and a small amount of puckering on the team crest. Sewn on the right breast is a "12" patch in honor of Lightning star John Cullen who was diagnosed with cancer in 1997. Thankfully Cullen would pull through after an 18-month battle but after four more games with Tampa, retired as a player.
