Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
From goaltender Marcel Cousineau's stint with the L.A. Kings in 1999-2000 is his awesome game-worn Itech mask designed by Jerry Wright and the cool artwork by none other than the master Frank Cipra, a man who produced some of the most iconic mask creations beginning in the early-90s, with examples displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame over the years. This Cousineau mask, highlighted by purple, silver and black Kings colors, is scattered throughout with various chips in the paint, including on the top logo, on the sides, and on the lower front which were painted over at some point. On the back protector are "Couz", "Itech" "Alex" and "9636" stickers, while the inside is signed as "Frank Cipra 99" and by Cousineau, who has added his number "34". A handwritten "#007" is nearby, and on the inside top is a "Custom Made By Jerry Wright" label. A beauty of a game-worn mask, fully intact and battle-scarred.
