Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Two important medals from the personal collection of Soviet defenseman Vasily Pervukhin, a key guy with his National Team in big-time tourneys, including each of the U.S.S.R.'s three Canada Cup appearances in the 1980s. Pervukhin amassed an incredible haul of international hockey hardware during his lengthy career with the powerhouse squad which dominated the world stage throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and we have 2 of Pervukhin's European Championship medals, a bronze from 1977 and gold from 1978. Both come with their original ribbons attached, with the bronze metal showing only light scuffing on the players' images, while the gold has light scuffing on the player images and along the edges. All in all, both are in extremely nice condition. The ribbon belonging to the gold metal has a few marks lining it but remains in nice condition regardless.
