Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Now's your chance to own a game-used stick from one of the most important Soviet players of the 1970s, Valeri Vasiliev, a rugged, no-nonsense rearguard, who, if he wasn't a household name before 1972, became one during the historic Summit Series and later on in international play including the Canada Cup and various Olympics including the 1980 Lake Placid Games where "The Miracle on Ice" unfolded. This Vasiliev Koho gamer has his original black tape on the blade and white on the handle, and along with small tears in the blade tape has a scattering of marks on the shaft which also has a stamped "Vasiliev" on it. A touch of roughness on the bottom of the blade is also to note. A fine gamer from one of the key Russians of the 1970s.
