Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
After a Stanley Cup with the Toronto Arenas in the NHL’s first season (1917-18) and a three-year stint with the Vancouver Millionaires, Hall-of-Famer Jack Adams, (yes, the man who would become a fixture as “boss” of the Detroit Red Wings), was with the Toronto St. Pats when he was featured in William Paterson’s hockey card set of 1924-25. Card #53 has no unsightly flaws, with corner/edge wear rendering it VG-EX 4 in the eyes of PSA. The grading company’s famous Population Report indicates that just eight Adams V145-2 cards have ever been encapsulated by PSA, with this Pop-1 behind four others, with a single EX-MT+ 6.5 leading the way.
