Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Intriguing cards which surface rather infrequently came with Patterson's Long Fellow candy bars in the early-1960s. Different aspects of hockey, as well as some trophies, are explained on one side, while a letter of the alphabet is on the other. There's also an offer for a box of "Patterkrisp" candy to anyone spelling the last name of an NHL player with the lettered cards and sending them to the company. Measuring approximately 1-3/4” by 3-1/2”, there are 13 different here, with the breakdown as follows: C, F, G (4), H, I (4), K (2), L, M, N, O (2), P (2), T (2), Y (3). We see eight, (six different), as nice white crease-free examples, with another 11 featuring just a light crease or light stain and the remaining six in lower grade due to multiple creases and/or staining. We'll spell it out for you: B-I-D N-O-W!
